The Fiat 850 Spider was a small convertible sports car manufactured by the Italian automobile company Fiat between 1965 and 1973. It was a two-seater convertible with a targa top and was powered by a rear-mounted, air-cooled, four-cylinder engine that ranged from 843 cc to 903 cc in size, providing a top speed of 160 km/h. The car was designed by Bertone and was based on the Fiat 850 Coupe platform. The spider's layout and construction were similar to the Porsche 356 and Volkswagen Beetle, making it fun to drive, reliable and easy to maintain. The Fiat 850 Spider was a successful and popular car globally, selling more than 130,000 units in its production lifespan. Today, it is considered a classic and desirable sports car among collectors.
